Campaign-level spend and traffic from Pinterest Ads
What this integration does
Connecting Pinterest creates a Pinterest channel with one filter per active campaign and keeps it in step with your ad account, refreshing every few hours. Spend, impressions and clicks are pulled once a day for the previous day, so cost sits next to the conversions and revenue each campaign earned.
Traffic is matched by UTM parameters, not by an automatic click id. A visit lands in a campaign's filter when its landing URL carries utm_source=pinterest, utm_medium=cpc and utm_campaign equal to the campaign's name in Pinterest.
Prerequisites
- A Pinterest login with access to the ad account you want to connect.
- Your Pinterest ad URLs carry the three UTM parameters above. Pinterest does not add them for you.
Setup
- In Attribution open Integrations → Ad Integrations and connect Pinterest.
- Sign in with Pinterest and allow access. If your login has several ad accounts, pick the one to connect.
- Choose the destination channel if you do not want the default Pinterest channel.
Campaigns appear on the dashboard after the first sync; spend for the previous day arrives with the next daily pull.
Good to know
- Matching is by campaign name. If you rename a campaign in Pinterest, edit the filter so its
utm_campaignvalue follows. - Access tokens refresh automatically; you only reconnect if you revoke Attribution's access in Pinterest.
