Attribution connects to TikTok Ads to automatically pull campaign spend data and track ad performance through TikTok's URL parameter features.

Attribution integrates with TikTok Ads to track your advertising performance and automatically import campaign spend data.

What This Integration Does

The TikTok Ads integration provides:

  • Campaign filters - Automatic creation and syncing of campaign filters in Attribution dashboard
  • Spend tracking - Daily imports of spend, impressions, and clicks by campaign
  • Auto-tagging for landing page ads - Automatic addition of tracking parameters (ttcid, ttaid) to ads with landing page URLs

Prerequisites

To connect TikTok Ads, you need:

  • A TikTok Ads account with at least one advertiser
  • Access permissions to the advertiser accounts you want to track
  • Admin or appropriate permissions to authorize the Attribution app

Setup Instructions

Step 1: Connect Your Account

  1. In Attribution dashboard, go to IntegrationsAd Platforms
  2. Click Connect on the TikTok Ads integration
  3. You'll be redirected to TikTok's authorization page
  4. Log in to your TikTok Ads account
  5. Grant Attribution the requested permissions

Step 2: Select Advertiser Account

After authorization:

  • If you have one advertiser account, it will be automatically selected and setup completes
  • If you have multiple advertiser accounts, you'll be prompted to select which advertiser to track

Step 3: Campaign Import and Auto-Tagging

Once connected, Attribution automatically:

  1. Creates a "TikTok Ads: ACCOUNT_NAME" channel in your dashboard
  2. Imports all active TikTok campaigns as filters
  3. Tags all active ads that have landing page URLs with tracking parameters:
    • ttcid - TikTok Campaign ID (__CAMPAIGN_ID__)
    • ttaid - TikTok Ad ID (__AID__)

Step 4: Enable TikTok's Automatic URL Parameters (Required)

For Attribution to properly track your TikTok ads, you must enable TikTok's "Automatically add URL parameters" feature:

  1. In TikTok Ads Manager, go to your campaign settings
  2. Enable "Automatically add URL parameters"
  3. TikTok will automatically append tracking parameters to your ad URLs

Without this feature enabled, Attribution cannot track which campaigns drive your traffic.

Manual Tagging Adjustments

If you're manually tagging your TikTok ads (instead of using built-in auto-tagging in TikTok), you may need to adjust your campaign filter settings in Attribution after setup:

  1. In your Attribution dashboard, expand the TikTok Ads channel, then click the three-dot menu next to the campaign you want to modify
  2. Update the filter URL parameters to match the UTM parameters you're using for your TikTok campaign

This ensures Attribution correctly attributes traffic to the right campaigns.
