There are a number of tools that can help make your Attribution integration as seamless as possible. Below you can see how each tool can help with the three page(), identify(), and track() steps.

You'll noticed four that do all three, these are our easy install partners. Segment, Heap, Shopify, and BigCommerce.

Segment

Attribution has a seamless integration with Segment that will allow us to piggy back on their first-party data to easily build a flexible dashboard for your team.

Simply install Attribution as a destination in Segment to get started.

To integrate Segment, you'll need to copy your Attribution Project ID from the settings page and paste that key into the Attribution app window on the Segment Integrations page.

Heap

Attribution automatically collects campaign data from your advertising platforms to give your marketing team a central dashboard from which they can monitor and optimize their spend. Heap’s attribution integration provides the visit and conversion information that Attribution uses to determine the return on your advertising efforts.

Requirements:

  1. heap.identify() is set up and assigning a unique identifier to all conversion events
  2. A conversion event with a revenue property

Set Up:

Once the above two requirements are complete, Attribution will create a S3 bucket to sync data with the HEAP IAM Policy here allow heap to sync, update, and delete data in Attribution. Please contact [email protected] for assistance with this.

Attribution will then send the S3 bucket details over to Heap CSM and Solutions Engineer (Support)
Heap will then enable Heap Connect S3 syncs to the respective S3 bucket. Data will be refreshed every 24 hours.

Attribution will ingest RAW Heap data and use the visits for tracking visitors and collecting referring and destination url data for filter. Attribution will also ingest the RAW conversion events and use that to tie revenue to visits & filters in your model.

Shopify

Attribution offers an easy install app with Shopify to almost immediately start seeing your return on ad spend. You can easily integrate by going to Settings -> Conversion Integrations -> Shopify.

Attribution will take the following Shopify events as conversion events, Order paid, Order returned, Order created.

Note: Attribution will use the 'order paid' event, which is when the payment is successful, whereas Shopify records only the 'order' event ignoring payment. For this reason there may be occasional small differences between Shopify & Attribution conversions.

BigCommerce

Attribution offers an easy install app with BigCommerce as well to almost immediately start seeing your return on ad spend. You can easily integrate by downloading the app here.

Wordpress

Attribution has a seamless integration with Wordpress that will automatically pull in visits from Wordpress pages, conversions from WooCommerce, and Form requests from default Wordpress forms.

To get started download the Attribution Wordpress plugin here.

  1. Go to the Plugins > Add New page in your WordPress admin.
  2. Search for “Attribution” and install Attribution for WordPress.
  3. Click Activate Plugin.
  4. Go to Settings > Attribution and enter your Attribution Project ID.

3rd party forms

If you are using non Wordpress forms like Gravity forms or Ninja forms you will need to install identify() manually passing in name && email as traits.
